AI for searching/characterization of CCSNe GW
Field: Data Science, Gravitational-wave astronomy | Year: 2023-2024
Postdoctoral research at the Universidad de Guadalajara. AI techniques for detection and parameter estimation of GW signals emitted by CCSNe. Implementation of open source codes; working with phenomenological/numerical CCSNe templates and real LIGO-VIRGO data. In addition, Explainable AI (XAI) techniques will be explored to understand better the internal behavior of algorithms. Funded by CONACYT, Mexico (Modality II: Impact Science).

CCSNe GW detection and reconstruction with cWB
Field: Data Science, Gravitational-wave astronomy | Years: 2020-2021
Collaboration with researchers of the LIGO Supernova Group. Detection and reconstruction of GW from Core-Collapse Supernovae (CCSNe), using coherent WaveBurst pipeline and LIGO, VIRGO, and KAGRA non-Gaussian noise, paper available. In addition, we used Machine Learning for noise reduction as follow-up technique in CCWNe GW searches, paper available.

Research seminars "Realidad y Proceso"
Field: Science and Philosophy | Years: 2020-today
International transdisciplinary research group. The goal is to explore, in Spanish and highly informed by sciences, process, structuralist, and non-substantialist philosophical theories of reality. It is sponsored by Filosofía Fundamental (Spain), GIEM-UCV (Venezuela), Stockholm University (Sweden), and the Centro de Ciencia y Fe (Spain). Reports, videos, and articles are available. I am founder member and former co-organizer.

Deep learning to detect CBC GW signals
Field: Data Science, Gravitational-wave astronomy | Years: 2019-2020
Postdoctoral research at the Universidad de Guadalajara. Application of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to detect GW signals emitted by compact binary coalescences, with real data obtained from LIGO twin interferometers . We used a white-box approach to understand internal behavior of CNNs and applied resampling to measure effect of uncertainties in the evaluation. A paper was published, the code was released, and several talks was given. Funded by PRODEP program, Mexico.

Isolated systems in computer general relativity
Field: Numerical Relativity | Years: 2012-2016
Doctoral research at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. I applied conformal methods to simulate black holes surrounding by scalar fields as matter models. With these we map infinite spacetimes to finite numerical regions, and to extract gravitational waves without ambiguities. Products: paper, thesis, and international talks, such one given in Switzerland. Funded by CONACYT, Mexico.
